The Daventry Dolphins Swim Team represents our community in the Northern Virginia Swim League (NVSL) and the Springfield-Burke Developmental League. Whether your child is an advanced swimmer or just starting, membership on the team is open to all Daventry boys and girls from age 5 to 18. The objective of the team is to develop a love of the sport, teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Our motto is "Everybody Swims, Everybody Wins."

Dolphin team members compete in dual swim meets conducted on Saturday mornings. Strokes available to each swimmer are freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke. Swimmers also compete in individual medley events and relays. A "developmental" meet is conducted on Monday evenings to allow swimmers to participate in a stroke they did not swim in the previous Saturday meet. A select group of swimmers earn the opportunity to compete against the best swimmers in the NVSL at all-star events.

Registration dates for the 2012 season will be held May 12th & May 19th from 10:00am - 2:00pm at the Community Center. To join the swim team you must be a Daventry resident.

Practices will start after Memorial Day and the first competition will be at the end of June. The regular season concludes at the end of July with the Divisional meet and team banquet.
